Valet

Joining the valet has been a game changer. I have gotten to know some amazing parents, because we are truly in the trenches together. We arrive at 7:30 am, a beautiful time of day to set cones in the bike lane. Teachers are just arriving, the wonderful office team is hustling in with their coffees, parrots are loudly barking at everyone.

There are early and late shifts, you can do one or more days, whatever works! We're just looking for parents to help parents get to work on time, while making their kids smile before walking into school. It helps if you can open a Cyber Truck (I still have no clue how).

Super Science Night

Do you know a kid-friendly activity you want to share with Marengo students?

Walking Bus

The Walking Bus needs volunteers once a month on a Friday morning to hand out giveaways/prizes and cheer on our kids. To volunteer, email activetransportation@marengopta.org.

Art Happenings

Friday 4/11 @ 11AM-1PM

Art Happenings is an on-campus event where first through fifth graders create art with parent volunteers. Projects are inspired by the cultural or seasonal themes of the month. It’s a fantastic opportunity for parents to join the fun with Marengo students!

Library Volunteers

Marengo Families, you can now sign up to volunteer at the library!!! Please click on the link and find the tab with your child's grade level. Within the grade level find your child's teacher - they are listed alphabetically - and select the day you would like to volunteer.

Stock the staff lounge: Snack

Twice a month

Our lovely teachers and staff here at Marengo deserve to nosh on fun treats! Please sponsor our staff lounge for the month, providing delicious snacks for our staff. You can drop off as much as you like, although twice a month is recommended.

Popular snacks for general use: chomp sticks, granola bars, chips, pretzels, yogurts

We welcome creativity! Sure, granola bars and yogurts are great for day-to-day, but what about a muffin basket on a Friday morning? Crafting a farmers market produce basket for the fridge? A surprise pizza party on a random Tuesday afternoon? You can go as big or small as your heart desires.

This is a DONATION ONLY, you will not be reimbursed. We appreciate your generosity!

Stock the staff lounge: Beverages

Twice a month

Volunteers will need to go twice during the month that they sign up for, and will need to provide a receipt to the PTA for reimbursement. The budget is currently $100/month. Other tasks include wiping down counters, drying and putting away dishes, and taking care of any dishes in the sink.

Please visit between 8:15 am and 9:15 am, or after school.

Once people have signed up, I will put you in touch with the volunteer who was in there the month prior, so you have a better sense of what's needed when it's your turn. I have been taking care of things this month for everyone!

Classroom Volunteers

If you want to volunteer in your child’s classroom, please contact your Room Parent. If you do not know who it is, please contact your child’s teacher.

In order to be a volunteer on campus, you must complete the Volunteer Agreement (PDF). Please print and scan/email or hand to your teacher.

Volunteering on Campus

Please sign in/out on the Volunteer List in the front office each time you are on campus.
You must wear a visitor sticker at all times while on campus.
